Laurana was raised in Idaho Falls, where she started folk fiddling and playing in a family band at age seven. In high school, she discovered a love for classical music, and she graduated from Utah State University this May with her Bachelor of Music Performance. Laurana is an avid performer, and has given multiple solo recitals, served as concertmaster of the USU Symphony Orchestra, and been a member of the Caine Undergraduate Research Quartet. Laurana was honored to be named a 2019 Presser Foundation Scholar and a recipient of the Russell Orchestral Scholarship. She has attended multiple summer music festivals, and is currently pursing her Master of Music Performance at Arizona State University. Laurana lives with her husband, Patrik, and their kitten, Felix.
